Dog ‘n Fog: Happy ^^Spooky^^ Halloween!
Over at Digital Photography School, the weekend photography challenge is “Spooky,” in honor of Halloween.
A few weeks ago I did a photo shoot with one of my client-dogs, Roxy the Rottweiler, in a first attempt to create a Halloween pet portrait. I had a lot of outtakes from the session, so today I revisited them to see if any were candidates for the DPS weekend photography challenge. The result is the image above, after a lot of post-processing and forcing myself to teach an old dog a new trick — the old dog being me, not Roxy, and the new trick was creating fog in PhotoShop. So there it is: A dog, faux fog, and a plastic skull from Walgreens. Is it spooky?
I’ll let you be the judge…
